Would a tutu on a newborn be absolutely ridiculous?

I had this on DD for her newborn pics in the hospital. Its attached to the onesie so its not irritating

Because most babies don't like obnoxious tutus lol

Lol I love it. My husband and I went went to the Pens game last night and bought 3 Pens onesies for our boy.

It's not for me I just like newborns in baby grows but it's your baby and if you like it go for it!x

This!
It's your baby and it sounds super cute but the comfy look of a baby gro wins for me.

We put lo in a tutu for her first birthday pics and boy did she hate it for the first few trial runs of a few mins.

We are going March 28th! We received tickets as a wedding present! We are taking DD so I'm quite exciting and I hope she doesn't freak out in the tutu for the game lol! I bought 3 more onesies for Christmas (they are 12 mos so shes too little for them at the moment!

Also OP I agree she's your child and you have the right to dress them however you please!! My MIL bought DD this ridiculous Christmas outfit that is hideous lol. I told her im not dressing her in it, but she told me to at least get a picture of her in it. So I plan on putting it on, taking a pic, and put it in her storage boxes lol. Seriously I think the outfit is really ugly, but other parents might enjoy it! (Like my MIL for example lol!)

I don't think it sounds ridiculous at all! Unless you plan on putting it on her head, I don't see the problem. X

It's a little ridiculous, but I say a little ridiculousness is what makes all the 2am diapers and feedings worth it ;) I fully intend to dress our little guy in some ridiculous outfits. As long as you make your best effort to make it comfortable and safe, go for it. You already said you'd take it off for the drive, so obviously the safety part is taken care of. I don't see why a half tutu loosely tied over a onesie would be uncomfortable for a few minutes.

Not at all ridiculous, you dress her up, I think it's cute and a bit of fun.

My DD had a hair clip in by 2 weeks old as she had a mop of hair, people I guarantee probably thought she looked silly but she had hair to play with!

Go for it!! this is my DD roughly 2/3 weeks old! going for her first outing with her nana! .. it wont hurt your little one & the even bigger bonus is they are ridiculously Cute! xo

Lol my grandmother-in-law bought our new baby a red Christmas outfit that says "Grandma's Sweetheart" and is covered in silver, glittery hearts. We have a boy.

LOL!!!!! Oh my that's too funny

Bahaha. Those pictures are seriously cute. My onesie I have picked out doesn't have any frills attached, so I'm improvising. I figure no one will be able to tell from the pictures that it won't be going all the way around, and maybe it won't be as traumatic that way :haha: This is my first and only (unless I become one of those moms that somehow forget the hell of the past several months) so I figure that I'll have her frilly and glittered up until she can tell me no.

this is my third baby but first and only girl as we are done after her so i will be doing so silly, frilly, girl clothes as long as she can't refuse! As long as its safe and comfy that is all that matters!

Erm, yes, slightly ridiculous in my opinion, but it won't hurt her and she's your baby so it's totally your decision! Unless of course your other half really, really hates the idea! I am a very boring mummy though and didn't even take any pictures of my daughter in her car seat ;-)

Incase anyone was curious, I did finish the tutu and here is a picture of the completed outfit I plan to bring her home in :)
