The fire alarm just went off at work and it was really loud, cos its a big inductrial alarm (much louder than the one you'd have at home). Would that have really scared baby? Baby didn't make any movements while the alarm was ringing, but is kicking away now. I just had visions of my LO crying and wanted to hold them so much.

Prob not hun, when my DD was about 8 weeks old a fire alarm went off when I was in a restaurant, it was deafining to me, but my DD didnt even flinch. Your LO in there has lots of padding and insulation too so dont worry x

Our smoke alarm went off in our house when my DS was about 8 weeks old and he didn't even wake up! DH says apparently they aren't able to register that high frequency of a noise yet...I'm not sure as I've never googled it but it amazed me that he didn't even move bc it was SO loud! I bet your little one didn't even notice, especially still being all safe and protected inside of you.

I doubt it! My LO would also sleep through our fire alarm when he was a few weeks old :haha:

I've felt my baby startle a few times. Most recently a big metal railing fell over next to me and made such a loud noise the baby jumped. It didn't seem to be in any distress afterwards. I just gave my belly a rub and it settled back down.

I wouldn't worry about it.
