I named my baby after my grandma Regardless of gender? My grandma died in 2018 and I want to name my baby after her but don’t know if it would be weird to name a boy after her even though she has a gender neutral name. The name is Gayle by the way. Thanks.

I don't think it's weird since it's a gender neutral name. If this baby is a girl I will be naming her after my mom who passed in March. We have a different name if it's a boy.

I think it works! You could just adjust the spelling to Gale for a boy - wasn’t there a male Gale in the Hunger Games books? I can’t remember haha

This for me too , I assumed it was from the name Abigail ? But might depend where you come from !
