Would smear make period early

currently ttc and had a smear test last week, am wondering if that would make period come early? Always have a 28 day cycle and all of a sudden had a 23 day cycle this month. Am worrying now with age is this the start of something more sinister or could the smear have caused it? Any thoughts or views

Pretty sure they don't affect your period coming earlier or later. They can cause spotting for a day or two, though.

Anything that makes me cramp can kick-start AF if it's about to start anyway. I've never had something start it more than a day or so early, though.
