Would very early implantation change your due date?

Hi ladies

I know I implanted within 2/3 days of ovulation.. I got a positive hpt 6 days before AF was due... does this mean that I am further on than the 4 weeks 2 days that I'm calculated as?? Dates are tricky as I had a chemical last month and it was a few days after AF was due but I think I ovulated at the usual time in the month?? Just curious... Thanks!!!

It moved mine up by two days but you won't know til you get an u/s.

Most research indicates that is impossible. It takes a minimum of 5 days to get through the fallopian tubes and has to have that time to divide into enough cells to be capable of implanting. 5Dpo would be considered fairly early implantation. If that were the case you could easily have gotten a + hpt at 8-9 dpo.

That being said, I believe conception/ovulation is 2 weeks regardless of implantation timing. So I don't think implantation would affect your due date, but rather your ovulation date.

^WSS. It is impossible to implant before the end of day 5 PO. However, if you ovulated earlier, you would implant earlier...which is probably your case. If you got a + 6 days before AF you prob ovulated 5 days earlier than you expected. To accurately calculate your date your should add 14 days to your O date. GL

Ok, this actually happened to me so YES, what you ask can happen. I temp so I know exactly when I ovulated. I ovulated and got a positive test 8 days later. Probably did take the normal 5 days to implant. My baby measured 2 days earlier than the average for when I ovulated. If you think about it, it makes sense.

You either ovulated earlier than you thought or it's just that you had a very good pregnancy test. They can give you very early results these days. I know when I ovulated and I got a faint positive 5 days early. Implantation can't happen at 2 or 3 days post ovulation though.
If you know your ovulation date, your scan is likely to date you very close to that, within a few days either way.
