Would you have done this?

Hi Gals,

Basically my husband and I have been ttc since 23rd August (my OV day). We finally decided to try, but I haven't had a period since 15th June. Would you have waited for your next period to happen before ttc or would you try regardless of a missed period? (I've technically missed 2)

AF isn't due til 6th september and I have definately had all the symptoms for her arrival (well it's either her or a wee bambino on it's way) - but I just want to see what you would have done.

Have you tested? If you've missed 2 periods something is up... if you don't get a positive hpt I would go and see the doctor just to check everything is ok. Best of luck and loads of baby to you

I've been to see the nurse who said it's not uncommon to miss periods, I'm usually a regular with the rare miss once in a blue moon. Anyway she took a urine test but that came back negative (but this was done all before we actually ttc). She told me to come in for a blood test which I will do Monday but AF in theory should arrive Tuesday, so now begs the question should I wait til after Tuesday before going for the blood test ?! :S

I have to admit I have been super impatient and taken 3 hpt and they have come back negative. I'm just hoping my miss periods don't have any sort of effect if it turns out I'm with bambino.

I feel so clueless about all of this, why can't women just automatically know when they're with child (a signal reaching your brain telling you "hurrah you were successful", or maybe "bad luck this time") the waiting game and the not knowing is not a game I like playing.

I actually felt like that yesterday... like YES!!! I think we've done it!!! But I'm so scared to get excited because I'm going to be heartbroken when AF turns up

It's so weird how mother nature works. As the old saying goes, think pregnant, be pregnant. I'm trying to find answers online to my questions and issues but everyone is different so as much as I trawl through these forums I can't be guaranteed an answer. What's the most frustrating thing for you?

ummm, everything atm lol. I think it's waiting to OV!! This is the first time since I got my bfp in Feb that I've used OPKs cuz I thought they're a waste of time... but got really annoyed of not knowing. I'm not somebody who can just bd every day, I get sore and bored after a few days of constant going at it like rabbits lmao. I liek to know when the best time is. Then when AF decides to be late... that's pretty annoying too.

Even worse will be if AF turns up this cycle... I know now that as much as I'm trying to tell myself not to think about it I will be devestated and will probably have a nervous breakdown when AF arrives haha.

Hopefully you will get your answers soon if I miss one more AF I have to go to the doctor and get a PAP....blah....I've missed one and now waiting on my next AF to arrive....goodluck keep us posted!
