Would you use a 25 year old Moses basket ?

I think its just the mattress that is the' worry. What a lovely moses basket

My Moses basket is 61 years old and baby will be the 3rd generation of my family to sleep in it. My Dad had great fun cleaning and repainting it, and Mam is in the middle of preparing the new dressing....so I say go for it, so long as your are comfortable with it.

its beautiful! i deffinatly would! my moses basket is about 15 years old! new mattress and bedding etc... i was also going to have my little brothers old cot, which is like ten yers old, but my auntie offered to buy a new one as my brothers one is a bit worse for wear (he didnt treat very well as a baby )
so yeah, i would go for it! plus, what a lovely thing to tell you LO when they are older!

My moses basket is 65 years old -- it was bought for my dad as the oldest child, and all of the next two generations have slept in it. My older girls are looking forward to using it for their own kids.

Like PPs have said, so long as it's cleaned, structurally sound and has a new mattress, I think it's a lovely thing to use.
