Would you work if you didn't have to?

There's no way I could afford not to work but if we won the lottery I'd probably still work a couple of days a week (I'm a reception class teacher) because I love my job. My hubby doesn't like work so he would love to give up his job to look after Daisy full time.

I would never, ever put my child in daycare unless it was a life or death situation. For me... I will have kids to raise myself, not have someone else raise them for me. Just make money to pay the child care? No way.
This coming from someone who has been working in a "mans job" the past few years, I'm not that old fashioned, just something I believe in. =)

yes i would still work part time, just get get and into the real world and socialise with others

Nope! I love being a stay at home mum (I only work 3 days a week) and I hate leaving my baby girl to come to work.

but I will add that it is nice to get out for a little while!

And no i dont claim benefits never have! Just always had a partner that worked and said there was no point to me working here go shopping .. so i did

lol, if I could maintain my current lifestyle without working, i definitely wouldn't work!! But I also couldn't stay home all day without adult contact, or I'd go nuts! I have a couple friends who are SAHM that put their kids in daycare 1 or 2 mornings a week so they can do "grown up" things (socialize, take classes, write, exercise, etc) but still get to spend more time with the kids than if they worked.

I wouldn't do the job I do at the moment! If it was something I enjoyed then yes, I'd work part time.. The only job I can think of is the type of work I used to do- PR for nightclubs/events, and bar work in clubs. I eventually want to be a midwife or a nurse, but I wouldn't do either if I didn't need to! I'd just go shopping and to the gym and stuff
