Xanthe for a boy?

Personally Ive only ever heard 2 ppl called it and they were both men but when i type it on google it says girls name? Help?x

It is Ancient Greek for yellow and I'm afraid it's a girls name. It is one of the Amazons in greek mythology and a wife of Poiseden. It would be like calling a boy Helen.

I've only ever heard it as a girls name, plus my sister has a friend called Xanthia so IMO, I find it quite girly.

I agree with the above both, how about Xavier, or Xander?

How about Zante? It's a Greek island, not sure if that would bother you but it's very similar and if it's an island rather than an actual girl's name maybe it would be more useable?

im inclined to believe you can use certain names names unisexual.E.g lindsey,billy,bobby,stevie,alex,and many many more..so as long as its not to girly for a boy and not to boyish for a girl i think its ok.

I think it's lovely for a girl. Quite fancy it as a middle girl if my next bump is pink.

I loved Xanthe (OH hates it!!). It's defo a girls name but I only know guys named Xanthe, so that didn't really matter to me! Maybe it's changing gender like Tracey and Kelly did xxx

there is a famous garden writer called Xanthe White, i think she is british (?) I always think of her when I hear the name xanthe.
