xmas without kids

so im looking at the worst xmas of my life this year not being able to spend the day with the kids , i may be able to see them for an hour before they go to her family etc..

i just wanted to book a flight for the silly season but i suppose it would be selfish not seeing the kids for that small amount of time on xmas morning.so its back to the drawing board

any ideas

Is there no way you could arrange to have them Christmas Eve and bring them back at like 10am in the morning and then she gets the rest of Christmas Day..

My girls are going to FOB's Friday and will stay there until Christmas Day at 12pm and then he will bring them to my mums and I get them for the rest of the day and after that too.

^^thats a good idea, or perhaps u could have them all day Xmas eve, do a Xmas dinner for them and do presents then?

Ask for Xmas eve or all day boxing day.. you could have your christmas day on boxing day.. I know alot of families that do this x
