DD#1 6 years ago when she got her 2nd hamster from Santa. She was a tad shocked.


I recieved an ornament every year I have been alive. That is our family tradition. Each ornament is meaningful to us for each year. So my tree is a little uncoordinated.

My tree last Christmas, have to have it in the dining room in the bay window as it's 8ft tall and just as wide, it doesn't feel the same not having a tree in the lounge, when you're all sat at night watching Christmas TV

We actually moved from there a year ago in July. It's MIL's house - she used to be in the basement suite and we had the upper two floors. The house we live in is smaller and not so elegant (btw, Dan and I did the painting, flooring etc. to make it elegant before we moved) but is on 5 acres so great for the kids.

I went crazy with presents that year, but downsized the next year. I figure the stepkids have two Christmas' so I shouldn't have to make the number of presents equal for them to our little ones at home, who only have on Christmas.
