Our apartment flooded 2 weeks ago, and our office has been VERY slow about having it fixed. We have been staying with DH's mom since it happened. We came yesterday to check on it, since our office NEVER even calls to let us know whats going on... And its just about done. They have painted half of it. We probably should have stayed out until its completely done, but we were both so tired of not being at home. But yesterday we said, screw it, were staying here. So I cooked us a good dinner, and we were able to spend the first day of the new year at home. Now we just have to go tell the manager here that we want a discount on our rent, and have them finish the painting. We were gonna ask for a new apartment, an upgraded or bigger one, but after thinking about moving, we decided to just stay here until the baby needs a bigger house.
Anyway, just wanted to share cause were both so happy about being home. And we got all of our baby shower stuff done, invitations are going to the post office today!
