Just got my pos opk!!! Whoopie! :happydance: got a strong line on IC and confirmed with a smiley face, today is CD14 on my second round of clomid, did not get a pos opk till CD18/19 on my first round so am really REALLY excited! Have booked in my bloods for next tuesday (22nd.
Soooo excited! :wohoo:
Last cycle i think i onyl had a 7/8 day lp so because im ovulating earlier this month my lp should be longer yeah? af due 28th.
Baby dust to everyone

Hey congrats!
I ovulate REALLY late (between cd20 and 25) so WOULD LOVE a day 14 ovulation! Am hoping to try Clomid in a few months as I also have a 8/9 lp. Apparently the lp is normally not the bit of the cycle that varies - it's the bit before - but I have heard that Clomid works by regulating the before and after bit so you'll hopefully be fine. Congrats! Now go and make the most of it ;-) ! x

so if i ovulate late i will have a short lp ????? I thought no matter when you ovulated it was 14 days? Im so confused.

Hi Julianasmommy
No - from what I understand most women have a fairly fixed luteal phase that lasts anywhere from 8 days (considered short) to 15 or even 16. Mine is always 9-10, so if I ovulate on day 20, I'll start AF on day 30, but if I ovulate on day 25, I'll start AF on day 35. Am trying to extend my LP though, so want to ovulate sooner so I get more goes at it each year!

No, it's not always 14 days. It's 14 days if you have a 28 day cycle but not everyone does. Mine varies. If I have a 30 day cycle I end up ovulating on day 16. So, it doesn't mean you have a LPD.
