Yeast infection/ovulation questions (Please don't R&R!)

Okay, so Wednesday I noticed that I felt very slightly itchy "down there" and the opening felt a little irritated. I checked it and there was some increased whitish/creamy discharge, but not a lot. I decided to take Monistat-1 that night just to be safe (for those not familiar with Monistat: you insert the medication like you would a tampon, and it's only one high dosage, as opposed to three or seven doses).

On Thursday there was some discharge from the medication and on Friday there was almost nothing. Then earlier today a big clump of the medication came out and it was pinkish. About an hour ago, I continued to notice pinkish spotting on the toilet paper. Anyone who is familiar with yeast infections (I get them rarely) know if this spotting is due to the Monistat?

I really don't want this to upset my cycle as I'm on CD11 now and I'm probably going to ovulate around CD16-18.

I also decided to have sex today since taking the Monistat and it still is irritated at the opening. I've never taken the Monistat-1 so I don't know if it should feel fine by now. Should I go to the doctor if it's not better by Monday?

Hey there !!! decided not to read & run ... LOL it makes me sad

Anywaaaaaay i got them quite a lot when i was younger but never severe enough to medicate !!! Never had any spotting/bleeding with them though ....

I used to get thrush quite a bit. I have used the one dose applicators before, but to be honest, they are not as good as the 7 day doses, especially if this is a reoccuring problem. I have tried the oral doses as well, and at one point was getting so much thrush that my doc prescribed me three doses and told me to take one a day. Did the trick! Have you tried the oral version?

I haven't used Monistat before, but one of the applicator ones I used was a pinkish colour when it came out. I dont know if this was spotting or just the medication
