Yellow spit up?

This morning after burping baby I noticed yellow spit up on the burp cloth. Just a little. It looked like her poop honestly (yellow breastfed poop) and was more concentrated than snot. She doesn't have a cold or anything. I called ped and they said not to worry unless it had blood in it or was green. Her spit ups after were more normal. White or clear. She is 10 weeks. Even though doc said don't worry I still do a little. Anyone else ever experience this or know why it happened?

My little girl has regular spit-up often, but occasionally it is yellow. My mother-in-law, who is a pediatric nurse, said that the yellow stuff is just milk that has been in their tummy longer. It isn't a problem or anything, but it is harder to wash out of clothes!

My LO did this too. Scared me so much! I called the doctor and they said it was just partially digested milk. LO is 10 months now and even though she had yellow spit up several times, she never got sick from it, or seemed any worse for the wear. So, I'd say its pretty normal.

Bile is bright yellow, so its probably partially broken down milk mixed with bile coming up. DD has had this a cpl times No worries about her health.

It could be bile, particularly if she spit up on a mostly empty stomach. My daughter actually vomited bile (like a lot of it, much more than spit up) when she was about 6 months. It turned out to be teething for us that caused it. They can get really congested when teething and some of it probably ran down the back of her throat, made her gag and be sick. She'd just woken up so her stomach was empty, so what came up was mostly bile. If it's just a little bit and it's not happening over and over again, it shouldn't be anything to worry about. It could be bile, could just be milk that looked a bit yellow.
