You know you are broody when...

You know you're broody when ...
1. you spend most of your time on baby and bump, baby sites and picking out your nursery.

2.have picked your baby names with your OH

3.think about when you would take maternity leave and tell bosses

4.think about what you should bring up at the risk assessment

5.spend most of your time considering when the soonest possible time we could responsibly have a baby

6.search pregnancy announcements on youtube

7.live vicariously through your pregnant friend

8.get pissed off when you see irresponsible parents on fb moaning about their baby or moaning about pregnancy because their needs don't come first any more (why dont some people get that?!)

9. look at scan pictures and bump pictures thinking why cant it be me

10. think baby 24/7 and imagine what the baby will look like and be like

You have no idea how much I do this! I have an acquaintanceon facebook, I only keep her because I want to see what her baby looks like and names her. But she constantly whinges, when she's had a relatively simple pregnancy. (My close friend has had a terrible pregnancy and I have all my sympathy for her!)
I just want to scream 'get over yourself'.... 'do you have any idea how many people would love to be in your position!?'
So frustrating!

It is soo frustrating! especially when they whine about things like "uhc everyone is going out tonight while me and bump are sitting in being sober, a sneaky drink wont hurt" ...this girl has sneaky drinks quite a lot, and she has a picture of her with her bump, during the heat wave outside, smoking with a sneaky drink in the garden :dohh: or when she whines about how her friends have abandoned her ... no wonder, the father of her baby was the then-fiance of her then-best friend :grr: and she wonders why her friends don't see her? She tries to play the victim when she is the one who did it all to herself! Not to mention she went to alton towers when she knew she was pregnant and bleaches her hair so her roots dont show :dohh:
I try not to judge people but she isn't exactly making herself look mature, it angers me when people like that can have children and be supported by the govt while there are people who would love to have children but can't, my aunt and uncle want kids so badly and would make amazing parents but she has problems and can't concieve naturally and we dont get ivf free in our area so they have to save to get when people like that who go on rollercoasters when pregnant, drink and smoke etc get to have as many as they like when they cant even afford the ones they have :grr:

I know exactly how you feel! I know a lot of people like that, and it hurts so much! :(
Why is it all the people who can't be bothered to care or raise their children probably. Or have serious problems in their relationship and think that a baby will fix things. Or see their child as a burden. It's awful. Makes me so sad :(

I was about to say you might feel different when it was you but I though you meant a new mum saying she is really tiered rather than complaining about not drinking.

In that case I will joining in the rant and say I find it frustrating seeing the pregnant woman who has 5 kids she does not even watch walking around our local shop. Her and her partner only seem to ever shout and swear at their kids too. :nope:

You know you're broody when you convince yourself that any ache or pain is because you're pg.

I am so very guilty of this. I was 100% sure I was pregnant just under a year after I had my son but it was only my first period while BF'ing. I took about 5 tests! :dohh: The past few days I have had an odd ovulation and keep thinking 'what if I ovulated at the end of my period?' even though I know how unlikely that is. I am glad that I am not the only one.

You know you're broody when you have a gynaecologist appointment tomorrow and hope she tells you that you can't have BCP because you're pregnant :D:D:D:D

You know you're broody when you keep popping in to Mothercare and looking at the baby stuff:blush:

I went into Babies R Us today and looked and the swings and prams. I love it do much!

I've made DF go with me twice already.

I make my DH go in all the time, he's like 'do we have to?' before we get in there. But once he's in, he finds all the things he wants. Today he wants a baby jogger pram for when the baby is older so he can take him on runs with him. He wants one of those baby monitors with the cameras, although the baby nursery will be next door and the walls are really thin! :dohh: and he liked the baby swings that play music and swing automatically. Although apparently not all babies like them so I wasn't convinced!

Awww! Actually I still used the baby monitor because you can hear the breathing through it. I liked being to wake up in the night and make sure she was ok.

DD abhorred the swing. I was able to sell it, but she wouldn't tolerate it in the least and it takes up lots of room. Some babies love them though. I guess you can't know ahead of time.
