With Sophie I only had the 2 scans at 12 weeks and 20 weeks.....
this time I have had 6 scans already and Im only half way there....I like that ive had so many as I have had a chance to see my baby grow and its given me the reassurance Ive needed aswell. Its a scary journey going through a preg after a loss but we are all here for you hunni. x x x

over here you normally book a scan around 7/8 weeks to see if everything is normal, i started bleeding a week before my scan, bah!
next time i'm going in at 5 weeks, just to see if it's in the right spot and the right size,
then again at 8 weeks, 10 & 12 weeks

Since my first MC was an ectopic I get a scan after 5 weeks each time I have been Pg just to ensure that the baby is in the correct place. I think having been what we all have been through it is very important to know early on especially when you health may be at risk with an ectopic.
