Your weight and clomid

My doctor says I have to get down to a certain weight before he would give me clomid. I was wondering if anyone else had to do this before being prescribed the drug....and what weight did you have to be at? If you didn't have to lose weight, is there anyone here who was overweight, took climid and had it work?

There's some evidence to suggest clomid is more effective when you're at a healthy weight... BUT. I took it, and I'm definitely not anywhere near a "healthy" weight. Clomid made me ovulate and I got pregnant twice, though both ended in miscarriage. (Not because of clomid or weight, I'm just deficient in progesterone and that played a big role.)

Thank you! Did you take Progesterone medication during your pregnancy and still miscarry? Or no Progesterone meds?

I got pregnant on clomid and I am overweight sadly it ended in M/C though, it is best to try to get to a healthy weight because this will improve your fertility overall and improve how you respond to fertility meds.
