Zander Lucas Nov 14! pics included!

ok Im not a good writer so sorry in advanced

on the 13th of november I went to the hospital because my BP was running high and since I was at 39 weeks that next day my Dr decided to keep me in and induce at 5am the next morning and since I was at about 4 cm dialated they thought I would have my LO in my arms by noon...boy were they wrong!

they came in at 5am and started hooking me up to everything...they put my IV in and started the pitocin and fluid then left me for a while and since they said that I would most likely have him by 12 I asked them to go ahead with the epidural at around 8 or 9 in the morning because I didnt want to miss getting it and I was having pain but nothing horrible well 12 came and went and I was stuck at about 8cm for a long while...the epidural ran out not sure what time on all this but I was in horrible pain and asked for some type of pain meds and they refused so I layed having some really painful contractions for a good hour or more and the nurse finally decided I needed something so they did another epidural which took but not as well as the first I could still feel some on my left side could even move my leg some...well finally they came to check me and they could see the head and said it was time for him to come out so they paged the Dr and put my legs in the stirrups and with every contraction I felt the need to push badly and they ended up having to put my legs down because they could see that he was about to come out and the Dr wasnt there they were even talking about what color his hair was while I was laying there waiting on the Dr yeah lots of nurses and my DH gathering around to see his hair before I even pushed but when the Dr got there I only pushed about 3 times and Zander Lucas was here! on November 14th at 5:56 pm and 13 hrs of labor he weighed 8lbs 14oz and was 22inches long! he has red hair...which I really hoped for I had a 2nd degree tear that was stiched up...

its been over 2 weeks and me and baby are doing good! I am combination feeding because of us going out of town so much right now and hes such a hungry baby I need some time that he isnt attached to the boob but the combination feeding is going really well he doesnt seem to have any nipple confusion but does have a preferance of the boob at night
