But would you get rid of a child that was showing jealous tendencies towards a newborn and was trying to bite it etc? No.
An animal has a right to be jealous which is what sounds like the dog was. It's understandable that the dog got jealous. Yes it's not great that the dog growled and tried to 'attack' the newborn but tbh all that was then needed was a little leading and re-training and i'm no doubt that this happened otherwise the lo wouldn't of been playing with the dog, the dog would of still been trying to maul her.
