10 day LP - is this a problem?

I've not been charting long but so far my LP has been 10 days each time. Could this cause a problem in TTC or is it only if it's less than 10 days?

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's on the shorter side of normal. Maybe ask your GP to put your mind at rest?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yes it can cause problems. My GP sais 13 days plus or minus 1 either side is normal, mine is 8/9 days i have started seeing the specialist and i'm due to start clomid at the end of next month, in the hope it will support it. X

My luteal phase is 8/9 days currently, its incresed from 5/6 but im on my 14th month of ttc! Some GP's listen and act, some, like mine disregard it and tell you its fine and to relax. In my opinion it s a problem or other women in different counties would not have treatment for it. 10 days though isn't too bad i don't think, ive read that a minimum of 10 is whats needed so your right on the edge.

10 gives a decent time for implantation and is a recognised minimum so i don't imagine it should be a problem though as someone said above best to check with GP.

Mine was normally around 10 days and it took me 5 months to fall preggers.

Im pretty sure that having a short luteal phase can affect your fertility, unfortunately. I believe that if your LP is too short, the baby doesn't have enough time to implant or something along those lines. Have you been to your doctor to explain this to him/her? I know there are things you can do to lengthen your LP. I hope you get things figured out!

10 days is ok - i wouldn't worry as lots of ladies on here have got their BFP with that length!

Thanks ladies - I'm just as confused now though!

My GP isn't very clued up - he suggested to me that we use KY Jelly to help us TTC as I can be a bit dry... Umm, hello? I have to go back to see him after a recent scan fo cysts, so I'll wait and see what he says, I guess.

It's believed that 10 days is the minimal required for implantation. Mine are also 10 days and I started taking B6 to help lengthen my LP. I think it is already helping. I'm only taking an additional 50mg.

I thought i answered this, but my post like disappeared what the .. hmm okay like i said.. I heard that anything 10 and up is okay.. Mine is usally 14days but since ttc my AF cycle has been messed up making my LP 11-14 which is weird for me..

Mine was 10 days and only 19 day cycle got pregnant 4th cycle But I was told by gp it was short and after 6 cycles to go back xxx
