she has been doing it for about 8 weeks and only when outside. I took her to docs who said maybe a habbit as her eye looks fine, but I can tell she is skwinting it:shrug:

it's always the same eye? x

Maybe she might just be a bit sensative to changes in light, not nessiceraly anything wrong.
Have you thought about maybe getting her a pair of sunglasses for outside? Problem you might find with that though is if she is a bit sesative it helps in the short term but may hinder her eyes strengthening to light changes as her eyes wont naturaly have to do it.

I would say what about getting her a visor? Like the ones that golfers wear, or a baseball cap? Just to cover her eyes and it wont artificially cut off light? I may be that her eyes are going through some changes and they're sensitive (I have days where the light outside generally hurts my eyes - doens't have to be bright, usually happens when I'm tired).

Sounds to me like she may be sensitive to the light in that eye. I was really sensitive to the light in both eyes when I was a baby. I still have to have sunglasses when going outside. If I don't my eyes will constantly water. I have been to the doctor as a young child and an adult and I've been told that it's normal and to just protect my eyes from the light.

Thanks everyone. Tried sunglasses but she pulls them off. x

no harm in taking her to the optician to put your mind at ease that it deffo nothing more then sensitivity to light x
