12 week old how much formula?

well the title is the clue! how much formula should my 12 week old baby be taking in a 24 hour period? iv looked on aptamil box but this seems a lot! x

I just checked an old tin, I think it says 28-30 oz. Omar was taking 16-20 oz at your LO's age, his maximum was 24 oz at 4 months, then he went back to 18-20 oz at 5 months.

Wha's on the tin is only a guideline, some babies take more & some take less.

thanks! my baby hasnt been well and is normally breastfed but unsure how much she was gettin as she was dehydrated an been in hospital. wen discharged they sed was an infection (didnt know where) but shes only having around 11ozs a day an not gaining weight, shes actually lost weight so dont know what to do! dont wana seem a pain at the doctors! x

if your worried hun i would definately take her back to the drs. my LO has 4-5 7oz bottles a day... she is very greedy tho and love her milk xx

haha thats a hungry baby, id rather my baby was like that though i cant imagine even making a 7oz bottle!
She does seem to be getting better so gona wait til monday when she gets weighed again and if she lost again then seek advice as she seems a bit more hungry now x

My LO is 12 weeks on Monday and she is taking 6oz bottles six times a day which seems a lot to me but they seem happy enough with her as she is a bigger baby.. last weigh in last week was 13lb 10oz!!

Thanks, and was she sleeping through the night too? I dont know when i would fit in that much! She seems a lot better, today fed a lot more, around 15 ozs gona try her now with another one .

would u say im best to wake her to give her more? x

I was wondering the same, my LO is 10 weeks old next week and he has 6 4oz bottles a day and someone told me he's not eating enough and to try him on 5oz bottles ..he doesn't seem hungrier otherwise he'd surely cry for more milk? ..anyways, I tried him on 5oz bottles and he kept leaving 1oz so he didn't need 5oz, but for the last 3 days he's been having 1 5oz bottle a day, so maybe he's kinda weaning himself onto 5oz bottles?

My cousin said her LO at 10 weeks was on 5 7oz bottles a day!?

my 16 week week old as on average 24oz's a day.

she sleeps 9 hours a night.

she's slow at the weight gain too and i worry worry worry but the HV says she's fine and just petite!

she bobs above and below the 9th centile!

haha porker indeed thats a brilliant weight! iv noticed my little girl drinkin a lot more and seems to have put a lot more weight on so it must have just been the sickness,
the only problem is tha she used to sleep upto 11 hours a night but now shes wakin up twice to be fed!

She is also around 9th percentile, though gradually increasing.
