Am I alone here? Everyone said after 12 weeks I'd be better!

I was sick until about 17 weeks and am still retching and getting the odd wave of nausea.

Midwife warned me that I might be one of the unlucky ones who gets it all the way through, hope you don't and it goes soon!!!

With both of my previous pregnancies morning sickness was gone by 10 weeks at the latest. With this one it didn't go until about 14 or 15 weeks. It was horrible!! Everyone else starts feeling better and you're still feeling so bad you could spend all day every day in bed.

It does eventually pass though for most women although it can come and go through the whole pregnancy.

Fingers crossed you won't have much longer of it to put up with. :hugs:

My doc gave me Maxalon but won't give me repeats.
So, 24 pills, recommended take 4 a day = only 6 days worth! So I ration them for when it's real bad

I stopped throwing up constantly after i came out if hospital (for the 3rd time with dehydration) the last time when i was 12w5d! but i dont know if thats cos they gave me different tablets and im too scared to stop taking them incase i start being sick again!!

Im feeling pretty sick today tho so i might be sick today yet!!

Have you been to your doctor about it?

my lasted til 18wks i though i was gonna be ill the whole pregnancy it was vile couldnt eat or anything everything made me gag thankgod its eased now and i cn scoff food! x

I started feeling much better around 15+ weeks, then the MS disappeared for the most part unless I waited too long to eat, and then randomly started coming back (very mild tho) around 20 weeks. I've thrown up at least once a week since 20 weeks but that's much better than the every day I was experiencing between 6 weeks and 15 weeks.

Yup, me too :growlmad:
I got some anti nausea tablets from my doctor which I try to ration so I can tell when my symptoms subside. I am now keeping a food diary in case I can figure out if there is any one things that sets it off (think it may be milk for me). But I have still missed a lot of work due to it and am dying to enjoy the second tri "bloom"!!!
No magic cure, just to say you're not on your own :hugs:

yep im still being sick im bloody fed up now oh the joys lol xx

Second tri "bloom"? Don't bank on it :p

I was sick as a parrot til about 13w then it took a break until 16w and it's been sporadic since then, but mostly if I get stressed.

I know of a few people who threw up for the duration, one lady vomiting on the midwife in the delivery room, even.

It got down to every 2-3 days... Now it's back up to 3x a day or so

Hang in there! I wrote this exact same post at 16 weeks!!!! Everyone tells you it's gonna stop at 12 weeks!! Mine dramatically faded at 17 weeks and left me with a bit of a gag reflex for a week or 2 and now I'm fine! I was sick badly all day too until 17 weeks so there is still hope. Fingers crossed for you xx

I also thought the same thing. Mine has got worse since 12 weeks :-( I'm also exhausted all the time. Really hope the 'bloom' arrives soon!

Well I seemed to get better at 11 but bam, back with a vengeance!
I just got up for work, was walking down my hallway, started coughing and before I knew it I'd projectile vomited about 3metres up the hallway! So yes I felt really bad about it but I rang in sick!

There is still hope! I felt the same way when 12 weeks came and went and I still felt terrible! Mine stopped in the 16th week. I have the random day I'll feel sick, but it's nothing like what I had, because it'll come on quickly and go away quickly (except for the random day or two). SO much better than it was- and I know people say you feel great in the second trimester- and I *finally* do relative to the first trimester, but it took awhile! When I get tired, sick, achey, acid reflux, etc., I just remember that it's nowhere near as bad as it was back then, haha!

P.S. When I got to the point I could force water down without feeling too sick, I made sure to drink lots of water, and once I started that I was feeling soooo much better all around! The days I will feel the sickest right now are the days I don't drink enough water

dont know who told you 12 weeks, but the doctors actually say its around week 20 that the sickness starts to subside

I have hyperemesis gravidarum so mine will be the whole 9 months. fun. Im on a bunch of medication and have only JUST come off a clear liquid only diet.

I'm still very much sick. Most days I can't even keep water down. I have found one thing and one thing only that I can keep down and that's pickles, sounds crazy I know. I hope and pray mine goes away soon, I'm sick of being sick. I just want to want food or know what I want. I want to be able to do fun things with my kids this summer. GL to you!!

I've had a great few days... And then I woke up this morning and the nausea is back :( the gaps between my bad days do seem to be getting larger though.
