Hiya! Can't advise what its like to have the coil but I am in the same situation as you and I am really swaying towards having it fitted. Discussed options with my HV and she said would be best for me for a few reasons, and like you I'm rubbish at taking tablets!! She said the new ones are a lot better now, lasts 5 years unless you have it taken out. And as far as I know theres two types of coil. Not sure when you can have it fitted I'm hoping at my 6 week post natal check.
