Hi ladies in 17 weeks today but still feeling no movement and all I'm seeing and hearing is people feeling movement really early on I'm just petrified incase anythings wrong ? I'm not really showing much at all either . I know this is probably tmi but the only reassurance I'm getting is after an orgasm I feel my belly hardening ?? I keep taking time out to lie and try to concentrate and see if I feel movement but nothing yet :( I was 19 weeks wen I felt movement with my first so I'm rely praying I feel something soon. It will give me so much reassurance :( I'm just stressing and fearing the worst ? Does anyone else feel how I do

I was 16 weeks with my first and then my second at 19 weeks i hadnt so ended getting the doctor to check me over and this time i was between 17-18 weeks i know how hard it is but every baby is different but im sure it will happen soon enough :) x x x

That's what I keep trying to tell myself , I know it'll happen soon enough , the sooner the better :) it's just a waiting game :( thank you

Do you know if you have an anterior placenta? That could be a contributing factor?
I know how frustrating it is though, I felt like I wasn't 'normal' as everyone on here was feeling m movements much sooner than me and even now I only get the odd few if I'm really concentrating..!

With my second i never felt anything until 19 weeks, and i thought that was pretty early

Even though this is my third I have only just started feeling her as ive been told I have an anterior placenta so that might be the case for you. Hope you feel it soon x

I was 21 weeks with DD. I was getting paranoid that she would never kick me, espically as her brother was being Jackie Chan from 16 weeks! Turns out she was small, but perfect. Seriously buying shoes for that child is worse than finding a needle in a hay stack.

Hi All

When is starts is it happening now and again, or does it continue daily? thanks

I'm 17 weeks and not felt anything yet :/

I'm 17 weeks Friday and am panicking to but have been told it is still very early x

I'm 17w 2d and I haven't felt the much talked about flutters! Had scan on Friday and she was very active....and heard heartbeat today at the doctors and again, all good! So I have stopped panicking....for now ;) x

I didn't start to feel any significant movement until about 20 weeks and even then they weren't that strong. I also didn't have a noticeable bump until 25 weeks. I could hide it under baggy clothes up until then. I'm 34 weeks now and my doctor says that I'm just all baby but my measurements are right on track. I'm 5'9" and started this pregnancy at 120 pounds (underweight for my height), so I think that was a contributing factor for me barely showing.

I know it's hard because so many women will feel the baby quite early...I'm not doubting them but a lot of doctors would say it's impossible, just food for thought, anyhow after hearing similar things on this site I too started to worry but I will tell you this is my 3rd and I have a very healthy baby boy whose measuring just a little bit bigger than normal, no anterior placenta and still barely started felling him around 17 weeks so please please don't worry, when I told my midwife she told me not to even worry if I hadn't felt him up to about 20 weeks!

Girls thanks I feel a lot more reassured . I hope I haven't panicked anyone :( it's just the waiting lol ! Hopefully we all feel our wee flutters soon x
