I can never feel where it is, but 17 weeks is supposed to be a bit below your belly button, then 20 I think is right at the belly button?

oops! just saw your thing after I posted mine mummytotwo! my bad!

I think I can feel mine if you start from your pubic line and press it is hard..keep going up till its not as hard and squishy thats no longer your uterus! So mine is at bottom of belly button!

At 12 weeks it is at the pubic line, at 20 it is at the belly button. I was going by this rule but at my 16 week appt it was measuring 2 in above my belly button, but only at 16 cm. I am 5' 6" so average height, I just must have short torso?

As someone else said start at your pubic bone and slowly walk your fingers up. You can kind of feel a line of harder flexed muscle feeling tissue and then your normal belly.

i have tried poking around in there but i cant seem to find it lol.

i have a really short torso too...i'm 5'5" and if i dont get the "long" version of pants they are highwaters, if that says anything. lol. i hope my CNMW checks mine soon so i know where to look for it! i wonder why mine hasnt been checked yet lol.

Mine was just above my belly button at week 19, but I have a short torso as well.

Everyone "pops" at different times, there's really no guideline to measure that by. If you look in the bump thread, it just goes to show that everyone shows and pops at different times.

lol, i know its going to take longer because its my first... since i dont know how far up my uterus is yet i cant really look at it like, "well i have this many centimeters to go." lol.

my friend popped at like 8 weeks lol! but its her second... i'm trying to figure out an average of when most women pop with their first. i was originally told it was 14 weeks, but that clearly hasnt happened lol.

Yup, everybody pops at different times :)

Some people look like they've popped sooner, but bloating is deceiving! Most first time moms don't get a legit bump until 18-22 weeks or so. . .and you'll definitely know it's your bump when it gets there!

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and have a little bump, could go either way as far as 'looking' pregnant, it depends on what I wear. I hear that by 22 weeks though you really grow!

I was never able to feel the top of it with my first, this time I can feel it just below my belly button. My Dr hasn't measured me yet either.

with my first, I didn't really "pop" until around 24ish weeks. This time around I've already got a big of a bump.

i look pregnant enough lol... i am just waiting for it to come up a little higher because its all really low still and looks funny to me lol:
