hi all,
i desperatly need some advice. i am nursing my 18 month old and over the last few days hes started biting at the end of the feed- really really hard.
the last 2 times ive actually bled
anyway its horrendous, really hurts, i now dread nursing. ive loved breast feeding, and i really really dont want to stop -
so ladies what do i do? he has bitten the breast i use most. i can't feed hime from that side now till there is less pain. im using nipple cream
anything else i can do?
thanks x

Does he give any warning signs? If you know when he is going to bite or have a general ideal I would take him off right before that. I noticed when my baby bit part of the issue was I wasn't paying enough attention so I didn't notice when she loosened her latch and was able to bite me.

I would always set my daughter down and refused to let her nurse for a few minuets when she bit but she only did it at the start never at the end so not sure that would help you.
