Good evening ladies

Long story short, I fell pregnant last month directly following a 7 week long miscarriage. I was told that I had experienced a missed miscarriage when I went in for a scan at 8+3 weeks. Anyway nearly 2 weeks later I started my miscarriage and I bled solid, really heavy and clotty for 7 weeks. Now on iron supplements as it stuffed me. Since I bled for so long we didn't want to wait for my AF and 8ish days after my bleed stopped I got a positive on a pee stick and lucky us we caught.

So not sure how they calculate dates because I bled so long and didn't have AF.

If I estimate from when I think I ovulated and add 2 weeks then I'll be around 7 weeks today.

I started spotting the Monday before Christmas and bled pink, bright red and dark red for 5 days, but no clots, and then spotted on and off and still on but more off.

Getting scanned now on Tuesday lunchtime to check for viability of pregnancy and why I bled.

I do have fibroids so not sure if that is the cause.

I have also self medicated on progesterone cream from about a week after I got my BFP and I did test early and got that around 10DPO. So is this the reason. Still on the cream and intend to wean off from around 14 weeks over a 3ish week period.

Who knows.

Nervous as heck and scared sh*tless for in case the baby has stopped developing again, especially since I bled for so long.

Argh why is the first trimester so damn hard.

Thanks for reading and I hope you are all doing well in your first trimester.

I'm sure everything will be fine, I know how you are feeling as I miscarried before my son, it was dreadful and effected me both physically and mentally. I was terrified all the way through my pregnancy last time! But each scan gave me more and more hope, I think your going to be ok! Please keep us posted. I'm currently approx 4 weeks 2 days pregnant again and I'm scared too xx

Good luck with your scan! Will be on the lookout for an update. :)

Thanks ladies.

Jewels, sorry to hear you have suffered miscarriage too.

Fingers crossed our little beans are strong, settled and developing.

I'm still nauseated, sometimes sick, sore boobs and bloated so hoping that's pregnancy and not the cream I'm doing.

Not long to wait now.

I know how you feel, I had a MMC back in October and I'm having a reassurance scan tomorrow morning because of bleeding! Fingers crossed for both of us and I'm hoping you get the news you deserve x

Thanks Shannonleigh, sorry you've suffered a loss too. When did you bleed in this pregnancy?

Good luck with your scan, fingers crossed baby is doing well. I have read that some women bleed first months of pregnancy which gets mistaken for a period and that's why women dont realise they are pregnant then find out like 16 weeks or something.

Let's hope bleeding is nothing to worry about.

Let me know please how you get on. :flower:

Hi All

It's so reassuring to read your posts and know there are other people in the same boat!

I have a viability scan tomorrow at 6+2 weeks after bleeding. I had two miscarriages last year in July and October. The second being similar to this one so I'm pretty nervous. Spotting but no pain and lots of pregnancy symptoms but finding it difficult to be positive as it's so similar to October!

Am keeping my fingers crossed for you all. It looks like there will be a few of us looking at screens tomorrow!

Laura x

Hi Laura, sorry about your losses and good luck for tomorrow. What time is your scan? Mine is 12.20.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

Hey, I'm in the same boat. At 7+3 I had a small amount of pink cm when I wiped, and I've had to wait over a week, but I finally have my scan tomorrow to check if everything's ok. The bleeding just happened the once and I'm still sick as a dog, so I'm hoping all is well.

Fingers crossed for everyone. xx

Hope everything is as it should be.

I have been cleaning all morning, talk about keeping busy.

I'm bricking it and tummy churning, been toilet on and off all morning because of my nerves. Body in over drive.

Will be leaving shortly so on count down for scan now.

I feel silly and weak, petrified they will tell me bad news again. Arghhhhhh

Hope you lovely ladies are doing ok.

Hope your scan went ok fandabby.

Mine was good. All's ok and we got a very blurry pic :)

xx

Hi ladies,

Yes such a relief, babe has heartbeat and measured 7+2 (11.5mm long). Could not find clots or anything to suggest why I was bleeding. They saw the fibroids and they found two cysts on my left ovary which they wrote on the report their appearance is suggestive of haemorrhagic cysts (just googled that and probably shouldn't have). I suspect this is where the blood has come from.

I go under a consultant anyway because of my high risk antibodies so this will be yet another thing which they will need to keep an eye on and monitor.

For now though babe is alive and that's all the matters at this stage.

Thanks for support ladies.

Julz27, glad your scan went well. I picked up a picture too, £5, thought that was pretty expensive as they only give you the picture without frame, frames are extra...

Good luck ladies with your scan, keep us updated with your progress.

I'm so pleased for everyone. Looks like it was good news all round.

I had an external scan and straight away we say a little bean fluttering away so heartbeat too along with the yolk sac. Slightly behind where we thought we were at 5+5 but they are happy and am on track for normal check ups etc now.

Nothing pointing to why I'm bleeding but my progesterone is high apparently (75) and I've previously had a colposcopy which can lead to some bleeding.

Here's to lots of new babies arriving this summer! Big non-alcoholic cheers to us all!

Yay I'm so happy for everyone.

I can't believe they made you pay £5 for a picture fandabby! They usually charge £2 for one or 3 for £5 at my hospital, but the photo was so blurry the midwife said she wouldn't make me pay.

I can't wait for my 12 week scan so I can get some better pictures! :)

That's great being able to see the heartbeat flicker at 5+5, you must be pleased and relieved too.

I hear you, cheers to babies being born in the Summer. :happydance:

Thanks, Yes £5 very steep, but you got to have a photo. 5 weeks to wait now for the next scan, although I may see babe sooner if my consultant wants me in to check on me sooner. Once I'm in his system, I get scanned and blood tests every 2 weeks, with the high risk of antibodies and he shares that with Birmingham as they are the fetal medicine specialists for my problems. Nightmare as we in Hereford and I have to juggle kids, catch train and get back asap or otherwise find someone to have them for an hour or two. Had this scenerio with all my pregnancies but took lil one(s) with me as they weren't at school but now the older two are reception and Year 2 I'll need to sort childcare this time around.

Hopefully it will work out and friends will step in when I need them to.

Congratulations and ching ching...
