help! the nurse said it was normal but all the books and websites say about 7-9mm at 5/6 weeks!!!!xxxxxxxx

It should be ok if she said so, I don't think they can tell you its normal if its not. It might be that your off on your dates, a later U/S might confirm that. :hugs::hugs: I'm sure everything is ok

Seriously, I wouldn't worry atall. All babies are different sizes and mine didn't even show up on the 6WK scan. All I could see was the yolksak. I was really worried but a week later there was my 6mm baby and its little heartbeat! :)

Mine was 1.88 cm at 8ks 3dys, not sure what that translates to MM though..

All babies are different. I wouldn't go off what you read on the internet because it all varies anyway. If you doctor says its ok then I would take her word for it :)

Its usual to worry about every little thing... I certainly do! Just try and relax and take it easy hun.

Hope evrything goes well for you.

I went for my scan yesterday. I said i was 6 weeks and 2 days. They told me i measured 4mm which was perfectly normal for about 6 +1 and the heartbeat was seen straight away.

I have also read in the books that it should be 7-8mm now but when i asked at the hospital they said that weren't right!

Every pregnancy is different :)! Aslong as your little ones ok that's all that matters :D

At 6 weeks mine was 4mm
At 8 weeks 17mm.
Everyone is different. Dont compare yourself to others.
Some babies grow slow in the beginning and then suddenly have a huge growth spurt. As long as you and the baby is healthy.

ok thanks guys! i was worrying! too much information is worse sometimes.......we have a scan on thursday after my near misscarriage so fingers crossed everything will be ok.xxxxxxxx
