2 cycles & no ovulation

So I had my mc on the 5th Aug, I am 40, the cycle after the mc I did not ovulate & my af arrived 27 days after the first day of bleeding of the mc. The next cycle I used opk's & temped, I got an almost poitive opk on cd11 but this very quickly went back to a negative & for the rest of the cycle I did not ovualte at all, that cycle was also shorter than what I am used to at just 25 days, I had been using agnus castus but a few of the ladies on here advised me to stop taking it as I had managed to get pregnant naturally before the mc, I have a dr's appointment booked for Thursday morning to ask about the not ovulating as I am concerned something may be wrong, especially with my cycle appearing to get shorter too. I am hoping that they will send me for a blood test to check my hormone levels are ok & if they are then it is just a case of waiting for my body to sort itself out, I don't want to start taking soy etc until I have no other choice really in case it messes me up even more than I already am.

Has anyone any experience of this at all - if you have had a mc how long did it take you to get your cycles back to how they were before? Is it wise for me to be going to the dr or do you think they will just think I am a paranoid, panicky woman?

I am so sorry zofranks. I also had mc/d&e on 5 aug. I havent ovulated yet. Im 38.
Upset at not ovulating this cycle, on cd19 now. My dr is on hol but going to make an apt to see her as soon as she gets back.
I had a bad experience on soy iso when i was ttc before, so that has put me off agnus castus. It took us a yr to get our one and only bfp, so am really hoping i can get a fs referral and try clomid at least. It is so disheartening to not ov yet. We just want to get preg again and to not even ov is tough. Good luck, am thinking of you x

I had a MC on the 16th Aug, had AF 27 days later......no sign of ov in between and now im hanging out for Ov again......day 15 (16 is my day) but still no sign!!!!! PLEASE be TOMORROW

My CBFM says i peaked at day 11, but i didnt according to the OPKs i was peeing on....one of thems wrong. I think my body is atempting to...and failing for some reason.

im 36, desperate to ov this month as i have to ovulate so i can see my MC specialist 7-10 days after to have a test for high natural killer cells in my uterus. I have had 3 MC, 2 before my 1yr old, and now this one!!

I also had a cyst pop up in the space of 2 weeks on my ovary.....caused by overstimulation!!! I took soy to kick start my ovulation after BC back in may....got the BFP but bollocks.....to end up with a grapefruit sized cyst....thanks soy!! So i wont be going near that again!!

I've had a number of chemical MC's since Dec, 2010 (3+). Vitex/angus cactus helped right me back to my old Ov day of about cd14-cd15. What dose are you taking? I Ov the first month on it (used FertilAid supps with vitex in them). So, I think at the right dose, you can see results after 1-2 cycles vs. the rule of thumb of 3-4 cycles.

I was taking 1600mg per day, I am now just taking pre-natals & leaving everything else out for now, AF should finish tomorrow so I will start with theopk's again & see what happens this cycle, I am at the dr's this morning to see what they say, I am going to lay it on thick & see if they will send me for some blood tests to check that my hormone levels are at least where they should be

So I went to the dr's, saw the nicest nurse ever, she arranged for a load of blood tests for me yesterday & also arranged for me to go back on CD 21 for a load more, turns out our health trust here wants you to try for 12 months at my age before they are meant to start investigating (if I was mid 20's to early 30'3 they expect you to have been trying for 3 years - I was shocked), anyway she said that there are some simple tests she can get through the system before she has to refer me to any specialists, she did say she thinks that it is just ny body still setlling after the mc and did suggest I stop temping & doing the opk's as these will be stressing me out. Not sure I can quite give them up yet though...so results day for the first batch of tests on Monday then ther wait to cd21 for the next set to be done. I feel better that someone has listened & is doing something to help, fx for an OV this month anyway.

I hear you about having probs dropping all of the information gathering. But honestly, I feel it's more info that they can use to assess your situation. I mean POAS- it's therapeutic!! You're letting "something" go .

I know but I have to say that since then I haven't, today is a bad day & I am eager to get home to poas but am trying to resist, according to FF my OV day this month should be Thursday so the temptation to see if my LH surge has started is building.....this is the first month off the Agnus Castus as well, I was taking this after the MC as I read it can help cycles get back to normal but someone else suggested I stop using it & just let my body be for a few months. I just hope when all the blood tests come back that they don't find anything wrong which needs treating. I just want my first ever cross hairs on FF then I will relax..maybe...
