2 MMC and MTHFR positive??

Hello everyone.

So I've had 2 MMC within just over 3 months. Had some testing done and doc says I'm "homozygous for the MTHFR1298c gene". I have to go back in for more bloodwork but has anyone heard of this before? I'm trying to read up online but everything seems..... Unreliable.

I was also diagnosed with the Mthfr mutation. I have had 3 recurrent miscarriges. I hope we can find some answers. I will be discussing it further with my doctor and see if she has some answers. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope we find some answers. Good luck!

After losing my son at 30 weeks, they did a multiple miscarriage panel on me. I also came up homozygous for mthfr. (which just sounds like initials for a really bad word to me! ha ha)

The only precaution the specialist took with this was putting me on a pill that is basically a high concentrate of folic acid because he said it could cause me to not process folic acid correctly. Also, a baby aspirin every day, as he said it could cause a risk of a blood clot I guess between me and baby.

I so far have had no complications this pregnancy and have had a lot of different blood and genetic tests (to go along with losing my son).
