Well our little girl and growing just like she should. I can't believe how big she's getting. I think they must have woken her up today because usually she is always wiggling around but today she just kept covering her face. :haha:

Everything was completely perfect until they measured my cervix. It should be at least 3 cm, and up until now was over 4. Today it was 3.6 without any pressure, but when the doctor pushed down on me, it started funneling and went down to less than 1! :nope: And baby was head down right on it. She put in a round thing that is supposed to help support the cervix and keep baby in. I also have to take progesterone suppositories until 36 weeks.

I'm nervous, but thankful we caught it and there's something that can be done.

Here's a pic of our little angel. Doesn't she look like she's praying? :)

I'm sorry to hear about your cervix issues. I also go for biweekly checks for mine. I'm glad they caught it! This is the first I am hearing of anything other than a stitch.

She doesn't like the stitch, she says this is less invasive. Whatever works. :)

Do you have cervical issues, as well?

I don't think they looked at my cervix?!!! Should they have?!! Sorry to hear your issues xxx what are the next steps they will actually take xx

Jessica, they only checked me because of my history, I don't think it's routine. Don't worry. :)

Sweetv here is a pic of what they put in.

They will just continue to monitor me and make sure the cervix doesn't open more.

Oh wow Terissa! I will be praying for you, I'm glad they caught it! Does your doctor feel confident that this will be enough to keep your sweet baby girl in where she belongs for a while? I'm not familiar with premature cervical problems.

Thank you Jamie! :) Yes. She's a high risk specialist and has seen lots of these, so she seemed very confident about it. I haven't gotten the progesterone yet, my other doctor is supposed to order it.

This thing is just a bit uncomfortable. She says I shouldn't feel it, but I do! Maybe a few hours and it will be better.

She thinks I was just born with a weak cervix and I will need this for all my future pregnancies.

I have had a preterm birth that they found no cause for so they are monitoring my cervix as a precaution. It looks very interesting and it does look as though it would be slightly uncomfortable.
I hope your length remains steady for the remainder of your pregnancy. :hugs:
