Hey all,
Been a while since I've posted, had a bit going on with the OH . Anywho....I found out today that I'm having a little GIRL! Was sure it was a boy (my instinct) and so wanted a little boy, but none the less I'm warming up to the idea of a little princess. I just pray to God she don't put me through what my first daughter put me through (whew). Also, had my genetic counseling and more pushes to do some new 'high risk' scanning where they draw mother's blood and determine the likelihood of Trisomy 23,18,13. I said I'll wait to see what this ultrasound revealed, and from the technician's point of view everything looked absolutely normal (fingers outstretched, thin neck flap or fold or whatever, other measurements they did all normal). So, I've decided I'm not going to do all of the expensive testing. This was a miracle from God and I will take her anyway she comes. That doesn't mean I won't pray for a perfectly healthy baby, but I just don't see the point in dolling out all that cash for test after test when in reality it's only the 'risk' they are testing for. That's my opinion anyway. And looks like the baby will be named Rainey, the OH is pretty adamant that he is the baby-namer lol. I don't care as long as he's happy and she's healthy.
