I am 22 weeks pregnant with my second,When I went for my last ultrasound about 2 1/2 weeks ago the ultrasound tech jokingly said wow she is very low in your cervix and didn't seem too concerned. Well I my uterus is still below my belly button. now I am having minor sharp pains in my cervix but also feel a constant light pinch in the very bottom of my cervix on the outside almost like an irritation feeling. I have also had light cramping in my sides and pelvis bones. I have kind of been feeling a pressure almost like I have to pee and am holding it (but I am not) for the past few weeks as well. Should I be concerned at all about this or is this normal and nothing to worry about?

I think you should be asking your Dr. I would if I were you. I'm sure it's nothing though. Assuming you had your 20 week anomaly scan and everything was good

I plan on speaking to my doctor on Monday which Is when my next appt is
I had my anatomy scan at 19 weeks and everything looked fine besides a bright spot on her heart and the tech said she was very very low in my cervix but didn't really seem too concerned. Maybe it's because she is putting alot of pressure on my cervix because she is so low??!!

I wouldn't worry, just ask your doctor on Monday. The tech at my last u/s also said LO is very low down and with head pushing on the cervix. It was hard to see the face as he was wedged right down there.

I wouldn't worry or il have to as well! I went for anomaly scan at 20+1 and baby was head down really pressing into my cervix so couldn't get any measurements or check anything, went back at 21+3 and baby was still really low even tho my bladder was completely full and I'm quite slim!

I'm also have pinching pains and a lot if BH! x

If baby is low and snug in your cervix then i would say the pains are because of that and the full bladder feeling - Normally if anything were wrong more than likely most Dr's would have connected with you -they can also see funneling on the US which would show like any dialation in the cervix-As long as you are not dialating i would not worry and if they made no mention during or after the ultrasound with a concern then you should be good. I think your baby may like being low - your pelvis/terus is almost like a crib/rocker - I think you are making baby VERY COMFORTABLE :)
