Hi,
I am 23 weeks pregnant and in the past week or so if i stand up for maybe 5minutes even just to make a tea, i get really lightheadedness, dizzy then a hot flush and i need to sit down, and i get this feeling as if i need to use the toilet (sorry tmi lol) or be sick. It takes me around half an hour to feel normal again. I was just wondering if any of you guys have experienced anything similar?
This is my first pregnancy so i get worried about everything to lol.
Also for around 3 maybe 4 days now i have had this headache that doesnt want to go :( ...

My guess would be low blood pressure and anemia.

I think you should get yourself to the doctors to get checked over. Doesn't sound like anything serious.

Hope you feel better soon x

I've been suffering with this defo go docs to check for anemia, i was all clear and bp was fine!!!
The heat has made it worse, u need to make sure u are drinking loads!!! I've constantly got a drink on the go!!! Also snack to reduce dips in blood sugars!!!
Dizziness is very common in pregnancy!! It's not nice I know!!! My dizziness is where I'm spinning and not the room!! As soon as u feel dizzy stop whatever u are doing and sit down if possible lie on your left side (something to do with increasing blood flow!!)

Hi,
Thankyou for your replies, i will deffinatly get checked out, have an apointment on thursday is the earliest with bank holidays and things.
Thanks for you replies again.
Wish u all the best x

Could be anemia. Could just be your blood sugar is low. or just random pregnancy issue that will go away. I had this very early on in pregnancy with all of my kids. But with this one it came back around 16 weeks and was gone at 18 weeks. I wondered if I had low iron levels, but since it isnt happening anymore I doubt it, probably just my blood flow increasing again. You should ask your Dr to check out your iron levels
And the headache could be high blood pressure, definitely tell your Dr about that. Many women do get headaches during pregnancy, but if it is persistent get it checked
