hi everyone. i am 37+3 and my bp has been going up and my doc found some protein in m urine, so they had me do a 24 hr urine test yesterday. my doc said to collect all of my pee for 24 hrs so that is what i did. i ran out of space in the jug so i used a clean tupperware container for the remainder of the 24 hours. i looked online and that was what was suggested by most. anyway, when i get to the doc to drop off the lab technician said that i could have just stopped after the first jug was filled, that even that was too much. she dumped the second container. so i am confused, i don't want my levels to come out wrong because i did not send in the whole 24 hours. does anyone know about this? i also had to get blood work when i turned in my urine and the technician had a very had time figuring out what i needed and how to do it, and had to ask what to send in for. she is new and started last week, so i am afraid she might not be sure. i am going to ask my doctor, but will not be in there for a few days so wanted to clear my head about it. thanks!

you need to tell your doc what they did. THey need the full urine output for 24 hours. Dumping the urine makes no sense therefore can result in a wrong reading. They told me if i fill the jug then call them and i can go get another. Honestly tell your doc and ask alot of questions
