i have seen on other websites that at 24 weeks the baby is 'viable' does this mean they have to do some thing to help the baby if problems are arising???

I believe so, at 24 weeks they are seen by medical staff that they can live outside the womb with medical intervention. In that case, medical staff have to do everything they can to keep the baby alive.
In certain hospitals they wouldn't be able to have the equipment to help save the baby, my suggestion is finding a hospital that does. The hospital we are giving birth at is strictly a women's hospital and the other hospitals up the road couldn't handle deliveries, let alone premie's. xx
