26 weeks, pains in my back and pelvic area

26 weeks pregnant now and I've been having strange pains in my back and pelvic area. This is my second pregnancy so I think I'd know if it was some kind of contraction pain. I had the same pain last week and I phoned up the hospital I'm booked in with, the midwife just fobbed me off with some 'yeah you'll get those pains at the stage' crap!! As if I am stupid! But I've had them on and off for the past week now. I was woke up early hours last week's with the pain, genuinely thought my waters where gunna go or something the pain was quite intense, but it eased and I managed to get back to sleep but then they came back after a few hours has anyone else had anything like this? And what do you advise me to do? Even if the midwives at the hospital are saying I don't need to be seen to because 'they're normal pains'

Sounds like braxton hicks, I get those pains also. They say you dont notive these contractions in your first pregnancy but you notice it more on your 2nd. Try a luke warm bath and plenty of water xx

I have done both those things, even got a hot water bottle on my back at the moment. One minute I'm fine the next the pain comes.
