27 day cycle? When do you ovulate?

Hi everyone,

I have a 27 day cycle which is always regular and I usually detect an LH surge on CD 14 and early on in in the day during CD 15. This makes my luteal phase about 12 days long. Does anyone else have this pattern? Or is anyone 27 days long and ovulates earlier or later? Thanks!

If you have a 27 day cycle & o on CD15, that'd make your LP 11 days. You don't count the day you get AF xx

Thanks! I get my af on CD 28 if you see what i mean. I had to draw it out like this as my I couldn't get my head around it.

So I counted CD 16-27 as 12 days in the luteal phase because i start bleeding on CD28 even though it's light until the next day. Please tell me if you think I have this wrong as I'm a bit confused as to how you work this out so that's why i drew it out like that. x x

Ohh sorry! I thought you meant you got AF on CD27! That's usually what people mean when they say their cycle length.. but that makes more sense lol. Sorry hun xx

Oh no worries, glad of any help, i'm completely clueless and not good at working out dates for menstrual cycles!! Would I say my cycle was 27 days or 28 days then?! x x

Just say it's 27-28 days haha. Some people interpret cycle length from AF to AF, or AF to the day before AF. Technically your cycle is 27 as you don't count the day of AF since it's CD1. It can be kind of confusing since people see it different ways. Wishing you lots and lots of sticky baby dust xx
