2nd Birthday Disco

Rivers party is in 2 weeks (cant believe my baby is nearly 2!), after some party game ideas.

Ive got about 6 2 year olds (or close to 2) coming, a 18 month old, 6 month old and 2 babies. As well as 3 older kids.

Obviously the babys will have to watch

Also good music for a boogie? River loves Rhianna.

Musical bumps is when you play the music and when you stop it they have to sit on the floor as fast as you can, the last one to get to the floor is out.

Musical chairs or musical statues (although not quite sure they'd stay still for long enough)

Pass the parcel is a good one!

Maybe get some nursery rhyme ones and just do dancing like okey cokey?

Yeah I would...I went to a party recently and they were so competitive. A friend puts a boy/girl toy in, knows which one is which and makes sure it lands on that sex.

I'd love to do that but I'd forget

Oh yea id forget. I remember at one of my partys they passed it over my head and the music stopped boy did i throw a hissy! lol but i got a pound so pissed on their fire

There was a little girl who SCREAMED the house down at this party. It was so funny, her mum kept apologising. I just kept telling her it'll happen to us all at some point.

She was a fiesty little red head though...walked over to the little boy who had it and tried snatching it out of his hands!

pass the parcel is a must all kids love it, i always put a prize under every layer and obviously a better prize for the winner!

ALL kids love those gold medals you can buy in packs of 6 i think in places like tesco so these could be added extra prizes for winners. best dancer? best disco outfit? possibly!

musical bumps is best for little kids (musical statues is for older children)

Cat and Mouse (if its mickey mouse themed) swap animals to fit theme iykwim)
Put on some music and the kids have to squeak and crawl like mice. The moment the music stops, they must be as still and as 'quiet as a mouse'. Anyone seen moving or making a noise is caught by the cat (you) and is out of the game

OH YEAH.............hide the ? hide something around the house/front room and kids have to find them?? kids love this usually chocolate coins or something but you could do something else.


depending on your theme you could print out pictures for kids to colour to calm down after disco/games.......babies could do handprints...?

Oliver dances to any music as with most children lol. I cant wait till his 2nd birthday it will be more fun
