My 3.5 month old wakes up every 2 hours at night. When he was 2 months old, he'd have a nice 4-6 hour stretch, then wake up every 2 hours or so. Well for the last month or more he religiously wakes up every 2 hours on the dot. I think he's hungry, because he will WAIL until I give him food. I try to soothe him, give him paci (he wants none of the paci), let him fuss for a bit, etc. But I guess he must be hungry because 3-4 oz of food is the only thing that will put him back to sleep. (I exclusively pump and feed BM from a bottle). He takes 3 naps during the day, usually between 1-2 hours. Bedtime is between 7 / 7:30 and always when he shows his tired signs. We do have a bedtime routine. I try to offer him the bottle more often during the day, but half the time he isn't hungry (probably because he eats all night!). He ate 15 oz last night, which is like half of his daily oz. But it was the only way I could get him back to sleep each time he woke up. Please help me out here ladies, I'm going crazy from lack of sleep!! -- If this is normal, that's fine, I guess I'm just wondering if it's normal for him to be so hungry at night? Am I doing something wrong during the day? Thanks for any input.

I wanted to say maybe you're hitting the 4 month sleep regression early but if it's been going on for a while already the maybe not.
It could be that you've gone from 12 week growth spurt into him learning a new skill into 4 month regression.

Sorry I don't have any advice. But I definitely don't think there is anything gets wrong. Keep up with your routine.

You're not doing anything wrong. Do what you can to stay sane and cope and hopefully it will pass soon. Sounds like a sleep regression/ growth spurt to me. I find getting out each day helps me keep going.

Sounds exactly like my dd at that age. At 12 weeks she hit a growth spurt and was waking every 2 hours to feed and seemed really hungry. Lasted a few weeks and then hit the sleep regression (didn't realise at the time ) and was waking every 1 1/2 hours but only nursing a little and back to sleep. That lasted about 5 weeks until at 20 weeks I tried her in her own room because started to realise it was us waking her up. Since then she only wakes for feeding 2-3 times between 6.30pm and 6.3am it's bliss!
But at the moment does sound like a growth spurt and while your little is genuinely hungry for those night feeds I wouldn't try to cut them out, obviously they are needed. It's hard I know but it will pass 😊
