I've had 3 early losses in a row now - a CP in Feb 2013, early m/c in July 2015 (6w3d) and a mmc in Dec 2015 (7w1d). I just got a bfp on Saturday at 14-15dpo, but I'm preparing for the worst as the tests aren't getting any darker even today at 16-17dpo, and everything I've read doesn't say good things about late implantation. I have a beta to do today but I'm not too hopeful.
After the third loss we had everything tested - thyroid, clotting panel, the works. We didn't do karyotyping as DH and I have living children together.
For the two losses in 2015 I was on 2.5mg Femara. For this past cycle I was on 5mg Femara. We've also tried to do ivf a number of times but keep getting cancelled as I am a poor responder.
I'm on Prometrium when I get a bfp just as a peace of mind thing, even though my progesterone has always tested okay I naturally have a terrible LP (8-10 days) so my RE agreed it can't hurt. I've started the Prometrium already and I'm sort of regretting it since I worry it'll mask a natural m/c.
So if this does turn out to be loss #4, where do I go from here?? My RE keeps saying that our previous losses were chromosomal issues, but surely if this is loss #4 it can't all be chalked up to bad luck or bad eggs.....I would hope at 36 that not ALL my eggs are bad!! I've done all the testing that they usually do at my clinic, the only stuff left is immune factor stuff but that's so specialized and I wouldn't even know where to go.
I'd really appreciate some experiences and advice. Do we keep trying? We can conceive on Femara but lost all of them, I don't understand why this keeps happening. I can keep going if I thought that it was just a matter of finding the right egg, but 4 in a row is pretty danged discouraging. We're secondary IF with RPL and we have living children together, so it feels like the RE is just mystified why everything seems to not work anymore.
