OK so I remember some sweating the first couple weeks after delivery but now I'm 3 months Postpartum and sweating a ton again. Where we live does get hot but it's been hotter than this and I didn't sweat this much and we keep the air on most of the time anyway.. It's cold to everyone else but I will be sitting there sweating. Anyone else have this? Is it just hormones normalizing??

It can be a sign on infection like mastitas. Take your temp.

I had mastitis before.. Doesn't feel like that at all. I don't have a temperature or feel sick and nothing hurts. I was just now reading around 4 months hormones normalize or something and can cause it..so curious if anyone else has had this..

Thank you for the suggestion! :)

Can be a sign of postpartum thyroiditis ( overactive thyroid ) that and loss of hair , anxious feeling , weight loss and a heart palpatations .

Yes, i did. Up until 5-6 months, I'd occasionally get the sweats, ugh. My neighbour experienced the same until 8-9 months. As long as you're not experiencing anxiety/ppd, it's probably your hormones. Hang in there!

OK thanks! It's been better the last couple days so I feel like it's just hormones too. :) it's good to know it happens!

Oxytocin is involved in raising body temperature (to warm babies while they nurse....ahhhh!) so possible culprit?
