I swear it's not wind. She stares at me so intently, it's her eyes that show her smile. She can scrunch her nose, make some adorable expression, opens her mouth and the smallest but cutest grin appears. Can babies smile this age?

My son first smiled at 5ish weeks....I think.
She's also gurgling already. My oh has heard her and also my dad today was layed on the floor listening t her. I forget at Wat age My lb did these things. But I'm sure it wasn't this soon. I bet I have it in his memory book. Il check in the morning.

How old was anyone's lo's when they first gurgled and smiled??

Yay!! Thanks for confirmation. She has the most beautiful smile in the world

I have a video of my daughter smiling at 12 days old. She'd been doing it for days at that point, that's why I was able to get a video. So it's very possible!

My daughter was almost two weeks overdue, I'm pretty sure that makes a difference too. Was yours?

Mine smiled for definite at 4 weeks. It was a while before we saw them consistently, but they were definitely real first smiles!

My little girl was 11 days over so could definitely factor into it. I've thought for about 5-6days that it could be but for definite yesterday and today as she gurgles as she smiles. I'm so happy it's a smile.

My second smiled at four weeks and was a week early so 3 weeks by due date. So yeah I guess it's possible!

Definitely, how lovely! My earliest smiler was 12 days and latest 6 weeks 😊

Thomas smiled from the day he was born, which my midwife commented on constantly and wrote up in his book :-). By 2 weeks we could "make" him smile by saying a particular sentence.

My daughter smiled at 3 weeks :). She was 2 weeks over due too and my health visitor told me that babies generally smile on average 30 days after their due date....so that makes sense for us.

My daughter smiled at 3 weeks 5 days :) Absolutely no doubt it was a smile, I even have it on video and still have no doubt of it. Totally possible!

My first was smiling at 3 weeks. He was 2 weeks overdue.

This baby smiled at 6 weeks. She was born at 39 weeks. So that makes sense for us.

My 3 boys all smiled at weeks old, but back then I was told it was cause of Farting  gas.....................Not sure if it is true or not lol

Mine was an early smiler, he was also two weeks over due! He was full on laughing at 10/11 weeks, can't wait for the firsts again!

My DS was an early smiler...3 weeks 4 days

My DD was on the later side at just 8 weeks

It varies, some do it early, some do it late.

Could very well be. Mine smiled at 4 wks. Nose scrunching and all. :)
