3 weeks to go and pretty sure I have a chest infection! :-(

Half 5 in the morning here, been awake nearly 2 hours, stuffy nose and coughing like a mad woman with such a sore chest - no sore throat - all in chest!

I've had my flu jab I thought I was good! OH is JUST getting over a bout of cold and flu! Damn him and his germs!

I'm assuming as I've had my jab bubs should be ok or is it worth seeing the doctor and getting some antibiotics! I only have 3 weeks left and head is engaged! I reeeeallly don't want to be labouring when I feel this rubbish! xx

Im sorry. It could be something other than the flu. I ended up with pneumonia last year. Are you coughing anything up? if so, is it green, yellow, brown, anything like that, its def. an infection. Also, any wheezing and rattling in your chest? When i had pneumonia i didnt really run a fever, but I felt awful, my chest was sore and when i laid down it felt harder to breath and one side of my chest down low would make bubbling noises when i took a deep breath in. As it got worse (no one would listen to me that i was sick) i started wheezing. Took about two weeks to get over that.

Go and get checked to be safe I have just spent some time in hospital with pleurisy which I initially thought was just a chest infection. I am a lot better now but still a bit coughing. Best to be safe, pop to the doctors.

Not really coughing anything up yet but feels like stuff in my chest. I don't have a rattling but a little bit of wheezing in my chest, and my chest feels sore! I have a blocked nose and my sinuses ache. I don't think I have a temperature and don't feel an all over ache. Think I will give the doctors a call when they open at half 8... Wanna nip this in the bud ASAP! Thanks xx

Totally the coughing up horrible green stuff started (sorry!) but went to the doc who had a listen and definitely just a chest infection! Thank god! Wish I was able to take some medicine to! Just being very generous with the Vicks Vaporub hoping it will help! Any other suggestions? Xx

I've not got a chest infection, mine is just a bad cold but I've coughed so much over the last week that I've bruised my ribs and pulled muscles in my bump. I took paracetamol to take the edge off the pain when I cough, and it actually has helped to dry things up a little bit too... I'm hoping it wasn't just a coincidence - maybe it will help you too x
