Just rung them because Dean's hours dropped...and he is now less than 30 hours..the man on the phone said that it had to be one of us working 30 hours or more, yet the website says as long as one of us is working more than 16 hours then we are entitled to it... xx

as long as one of you does 16 or more but between you it is over 30 hours

For the over 30 hours element one of you have to be working 30 hours + , whereas as long as your working over 16 you ll get working tax credits

no, thats not quite right......

you CAN get the 30 hour element if you work 30+ hours a week BETWEEN the 2 of you, however one of you has to work 16+ hours, so you wouldnt get it if you both did 15 hours iykwim

I work 16.5 hours per week and Dean works 24 hours a week..rung back this morning and the woman said the man yesterday was wrong :dohh:

Thanks ladies.xx
