Sorry not been around for a while. Got very fed up when AF arrived a few weeks ago, what with hitting the 12 month milestone of ttc, and the fertility test results not being very easy to interpret it all just got a bit much and needed a break.

Only managed a 2 week break!!

Im waiting to O now. Heart isnt really in it this month (I mean, I may not be producing any eggs, and even if I am, DH's sperm will have difficulty finding their way up there). Spent alot of time with family recently with people with babies which has been hard, and going to meet my good friend for lunch this week who was the only person who knew I was ttc. She was ttc around the same time and her baby is due next month.

Anyway, what you all up to? Maxxi, hooray for tests being finished! Squirrell what you been up to?

I've just been hanging out. Went to a wedding last night. I'd bet she'll be knocked up before I am! Today, just been baking cookies (monster cookies - oatmeal, peanut butter, m&ms, reeces pieces, M&M's), and making a tater tot casserole for dinner. Also made some brownies. :haha:

The cookies I am making to freeze so that we can always have some through the winter. The recipe makes a gigantic amount (12 eggs, 18 cups oatmeal, 6 cups peanut butter, 6 cups brown sugar, 4 cups sugar, 4 cups M&M's, etc...) You have to have a very big bowl and some strong arm muscles to make this!! :)
 
Glad you're back Waiting. I know how you feel. I should O sometime next week and I'm thinking that this will be my last attempt to get a bfp before I have to start IVF and honestly my heart isn't into it either. I'm still waitng on 3 more test results to come in before I can make an appt with the fertility specialist to go over my options and get started with something. The waiting is torture.
Squirrel - take a picture of those cookies! I'm kind of happy these days that I don't cook or bake because the way I feel these days I'd be baking batches of cookies for myself!

I'm Angie I'm 31 and oh is 38 I had a mc in January and we decided to wait a while - been off the pill for 3 months and I'm now just into my 2nd cycle of ttc - should be oving on the 3rd oct and testing the 18th and also we trying smep this month

Nice to hear from everyone. It's been quiet on here lately!....
Think I'm about 5/6 days away from AF so thinking I'm out again. Not expecting to be successful anyway as I O'd earlier than usual and didn't take every necessary step to keep the :spermy: where they needed to be!

Was at a Blessing yesterday. Was really hard seeing DH looking fondly at the father holding the little one, and wanting it to be us. Had to go outside for a small cry, but then pulled myself together. :hugs: to you all x
 
Hi again. Just an update. All my lab results are in and still normal so I have another appt with the fertility specialist next Monday. I'll start prepping for IVF at that time. Should be interesting!
 
I second the photos Squirrell! My problem would be that if I made all of those cookies, I'd then eat them all and not freeze any :blush:

We have an appointment at the fertility clinic on 3rd Nov so find out nex steps then. Expect to have all tests done again before anythingelse happens.

Maxxi it must be so exciting having IVF coming up?? Must give you hope again?

Floofy sorry you think you are out again hun. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

they are called rocko and courtney and have been my babies for the last 12 years - they are old now and sleep all the time

Welcome Angie! Hi everyone!

Believe me, this monster cookie recipe makes so many cookies, you'd never be able to eat all that dough! I weighed the bowl after making about 30 cookies and it still weighed 17.2 pounds!!!!! I haven't even baked all the cookies yet. It takes a lot of effort, I tell ya!

I'm too nervous to be hopeful. The whole process is so involved, so time consuming and heartbreaking if it doesn't work. I'm lucky though they haven't found anything wrong so that should help my chances a bit. My husband the eternal optimist is convinced I'll have twins!

And by the way Squirrel I bet I could eat all that dough!

I've been lurking about and noticed that things had been quiet on here but glad to see that you are all still here!

The cookies sound AMAZING!

Slowly driving myself mad at the moment. 6dpo and had a temp spike this morning. The hightest my temp has ever been. I am really trying not to read too much into it.
 
Hi all,
For the last 3 days I have had RIDICULOUS insomnia!!! Slept badly Sat night, tossing and turning etc and felt rough and tired all day Sun. Thought I'd sleep well Sun night, but hardly got a wink. Just constantly waking up and tossing and turning, also getting a really hot face (???!!!) Then same again last night and today banging headache. Keep thinking I must be coming down with something but feel fine! :dohh: (apart from the banging headacje of course!)

Not worrying about anything either (for a change) and have actually tried being more positive! Maybe my body's in shock from my PMA???!!!!

Floofy - this is a lucky thread so maybe you'll be sharing some good news soon? When do you test?

I went back and forth this month about using my cbfm to see when I O. Part of me wanted to take the month off from ttc since I've got so much work coming up with the ivf. In the end I decided to use the monitor. The peak symbol always makes me happy!

I shall post the recipe, ...just not tonight -- sorry it's getting really late! I'll do my best to post it tomorrow. But I may be offline for several days as we just found out my OH's grandmother passed away today, so we'll be going quite a distance to the service and spend time with family.

When I come back if I haven't posted the recipe, remind me. It takes a gigantic bowl to make it. I'm not kidding. So be forewarned. I guess you could always cut the recipe down, but then they aren't "Monster" cookies! :haha:
