32 week u/s showed above average amniotic fluid. should i be concerned?

i am 33 weeks pregnant and just found out at 32 weeks through u/s that i have a little above average amniotic fluid. i have had many scans previously 5 i think and they all showed that my fluids were perfect and the last one i had was 24 weeks and that one was fine. now all of a sudden my fluids are higher at 32 weeks. should i be concerned about fetal abnormalities? also they are making me get another u/s done at 35 weeks and the doctor didnt seem to be concerned.

i had this with kacey. My consultant said it could be something as simple as your baby having just been for a wee. Where as the other scans they could of just drank. I was told the only risk would be preterm labour. My waters popped at 38 weeks and 6 days. And there was loads and loads lol. She was healthy 8lb9oz. Your being monitored now and if your doc isnt concerned then try not to be

i had this its called polyhydramnios.dont worry my daughters fine ... i stressed over nothing for NOTHING because thats all it was,nothing... no cause found. xx

Fetal abnormalities can be cause of poly but since you have had u/s's that have assessed anatomy and nothing abnormal was found the chances of this is low....

There are a few complications to be aware of though... Main one is preterm labour, another one is prolapsed cord (so if your water breaks and you feel something in your vagina call 911 and get in the knee-chest position... It's very very rare for this to happen)... and there's a slight increase in postpartum hemorrhage but they have lots of different type of medications to prevent that from being a problem or to treat it if it does become a problem...

And while having poly does increase some of those risks..... Statistically, chances are you'll go to term and will have a happy healthy babe with no problems...
