33 weeks pregnant and "popping" sound coming from belly

I am 33 weeks pregnant, and for the past 4 days I have heard this "popping" noise, the best way to explain it is like knuckles cracking or clicking 2 fingernails together. Has anyone else had this? I googled it, and a lot of pregnant women have heard this noise, many have asked DRs or Midwives, but no one knows what it is!!

Hi Ladies If the "popping/clicking" sounds you hear from your bump are when bubs is moving it is the baby popping tiny air bubbles as they move around, it gets louder & more frequent, i get it all the time now at 36 weeks, it's amazing hey

I heard the same thing in my 3rd as well. You explained it best when you said its like the sound of you clicking your fingernails together (fake nails). I googled, asked other pregnant moms, dr. and no one kne what I was talking about, they thought I was crazy. Well when was in the hospital and hooked up to the monitors (for delivery) I heard it again and asked my boyfriend if he heard it to. The nurses immediatly rushed in and said my baby's heart had stopped for a second so they had to have the whole team to come in to make sure my baby was ok after I gave birth.

Im still unsure what it is but it deffinatly has some connection with her heart. I know at night sometimes she has those quick short breaths for a moment.
Deffinatly going to let the dr. know. I hoped this helped

Ive had this for months too some say its just babies joints popping or little bubbles. Ive never heard of it having anything to do with babies heart.

I have it sometimes too, it seems to be when baby is moving a lot I wondered if it was the joints clicking

I have this a lot too, may be just air bubbles? No idea, but doesn't seem to be anything to worry about!

I have this too and my midwife told me that its the oxygen circulating around your babys umbilical cord xx

I have this too, I assumed it was joints clicking as it always happens when the baby is moving. Bit freaked out about the heart thing now though.

I get this too, even my Mum heard it the other day when sitting on another sofa!! It is just like clicking 2 fake nails together. I get it a lot but have no idea what it is, hope its not the heart!??!?!?

Hey, I had this a few weeks back, I heard a big pop from the outside !!

I asked my midwife and she said it was so common for the baby to play with the water membrane and that's what makes the sound.

She told me she actually saw a scan where the baby was flicking the sack !
